Operating info: Short power outage in Biomedicum on 21 November

On 21 November Akademiska Hus will test the residual-current devices or "circuit breaker" (rcd) in the building, which will lead to a short power outage sometime between 05:30 a.m. and 09:30 a.m. Equipment connected to "duct rails" in the ceiling will not be affected by the power outage. Most of the equipment in the laboratories are connected to duct rails and the laboratories should not be affected to any greater extent. However, equipment that has an individual cable/separate power supply will be affected; for instance larger centrifuges that require more electricity than what the standard outlets can provide. Please note that all offices will be affected by the power outage.

Please address any questions or concerns directly to Erik Ekstedt (, operational technician at Akademiska Hus.
