An Introduction to Global Health - Free Online Course

Our free online course An Introduction to Global Health with Hans Rosling, is available to attend whenever you want. This is a great way to learn the basics of global health at your own pace and time. There are video presentations of each topic (roughly 10 minutes each), followed by multiple choice questions and exercises using online, interactive tools. All in all we estimate that the course takes about 1-2 days to complete. It was launched in March 2016 and about 20,000 people from all over the world registered from over 190 countries.

Workshop in Intended Learning Outcomes for Global Health and Teaching in English

Are you wondering how to integrate global health into your course, and how to evaluate student learning through English? Then this workshop is for you! We will offer a workshop focusing on Intended Learning Outcomes (ILO) in international and intercultural education. You will work together with your fellow colleagues to draft ILOs that suit your program and your course! Facilitators will lead the workshop and answer any questions you may have.

Currently these workshops have to be requested! If you are interested in having this workshop, please contact Karin Båge.

Workshop: Tools for Global Health

Are you integrating global health matters into your course, but finding it difficult to start? Do you want to know more about global health? Or do you want to become familiar with some of the main tools we use in global health?

This workshop is intended for individual teaching staff who are or will be teaching matters relating to global health and interested in strengthening their competencies in global health. This workshop will provide teachers with some of the most commonly used tools in global health. These include free, online data visualisation tools like the Global Burden of Disease Compare Tool and Gapminder, as well as other websites that can be very helpful when looking up data and information about a certain health issue or condition.

Currently these workshops have to be requested! If you are interested in having this workshop, please contact Karin Båge.
