About me

My thesis and previous research have focused mainly on infants, children and adults born small for gestational age (SGA) or preterm. During my two post-doc periods I studied different cohorts of preterms and SGA infants, children and adults investigating their metabolic status and out-come in relation to growth and gender as well as birth weight and length of gestation. We have found associations between early birth and elevated systolic blood pressure but also metabolic differences relating to glucose intolerance in these two groups of low birth weight infants and children.

Since September 2017, I have been working in the Department of Radiology, KS, Solna. I have initiated several radiological studies with focus on COVID-19.  I have also recently published a study relating to characteristics and out-come in adrenal haemorrhage in our trauma patients cared for at Karolinska, Solna between the years 2013-2018.

My teaching activity is focused on medical students at Karolinska Institutet. Since 2018 I have had the opportunity to be mentor for a group of medical students and follow them through their medical studies (Strimman Professionell utveckling). I have also initiated a course for resident physicians trainees in radiology entitled “Course in basal scientific radiology” with the purpose to give a scientific insight for clinicians that are not doctoral students.
