I work full time as a researcher since a few years back, but I also have a background as a clinical psychologist within occupational and environmental medicine and as a HR-consultant within leader selection and leadership development
Research description
One of my main research areas concerns how leadership in the workplace is associated with stress, health, and health-related consequences among employees. In 2014-2017 I led a project financed by FORTE investigating the work situation, health and career development of female managers. During 2017-2019, I ran two projects investigating the causes of increased mental ill-health and sickness absence among employees working in female-dominated industries and occupations. The projects focus on organisational and psychosocial work factors as well as factors in unpaid domestic work. In 2019-2021 I am leading a project financed by FORTE on antecedents and health consequences of gender-based harassment. I have also led a systematic research review on health consequences of physical, psychological, and gender-based workplace violence, commissioned by FORTE. I am part of the steering group of the cohort study Swedish Longitudinal Occupational Survey of Health (SLOSH), at the Stress Research Institute, Stockholm University.
