Education
I have a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Health from Université Paris VII, a Master in Public Health and a PhD in International Health, from Karolinska Institutet. I was awarded an Associate Professorship in International Health in 2009 and became full Professor of Global Infectious Disease Epidemiology, specifically HIV, in 2013.
I finalised my university medical degree (MD) with Lund University in 1995, and got my license to practice medicine in 1997. I became a clinical specialist in Infectious Disease Medicine at the Karolinska University Hospital in 2011.
