About me

I am currently a PhD student in epidemiology at IMM and my background is in nutrition and public health epidemiology. My main research interest is the role of diet in the prevention and management of diabetes.

Research description

The aim of my PhD project is to study the risk and prognosis of latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA) and type 2 diabetes, in relation to diet and its potential interaction with genetic risk factors. This project will be based on two large population-based studies: the Swedish ESTRID study (Epidemiological study of risk factors for LADA and type 2 diabetes) and the Norwegian HUNT cohort study.
