In october 2014 i defended my thesis "screening for abdominal aortic aneurysm". Since then I have continued my research and clinical path with interest in aortic aneurysms, but also extended my interest to the field of athesclerotic disease of the lower limbs and person-centered care.
Before my career as a vascular surgeon I did one year of research in Arkansas US, participation in projects working on ameliorating muscle loss caused by inactivity, with a specific focus on muscle atrophy during space-flight.
In my position as chief of residents in the dept of surgery since 2013 I have many opportunities to participate in clinical education.
