About me
I am a PhD student in Neuroscience (DiBrain Dept., University of Bari, IT) undergoing an international visiting project at KI with Dani Ferreira's team to study cognitive connectomes in healthy aging and biomarkers underlying both mild and major neurocognitive disorders, with a focus on MRI paradigms. I have been working as a neuropsychologist since 2021, and my research interests range from cognitive models to assistive technology and health humanities.
Research description
I am currently carrying out projects on neuropsychological models and profiles in Neuroscience from a multidisciplinary perspective. The main goal of the studies I am pursuing is to explore diagnostic techniques and strategies for assessment, monitoring, and intervention in the context of organic and neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer's Disease, Dementia with Lewy Bodies, etc.). To this end, I am focusing on various indices (e.g., cognitive deficits, cognitive reserve proxies, neuroimaging biomarkers) used for early and differential diagnosis, and their clinical significance for the development of tailored prevention/rehabilitation protocols that can provide support to both patients and caregivers.
