About me

    I am a statistician with a doctoral degree in epidemiology from Karolinska
    Institutet. Since 2023 I am Docent in Epidemiology. As part of Johan
    Askling's research group on chronic inflammatory disease epidemiology,
    my research focuses on safety and effectiveness of treatments for chronic
    inflammatory diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis(RA), psoriatic
    arthritis(PsA) and spondyloarthritis(SpA). Morevoer, I have a deep interest
    in the role of environmental risk factor, and in particular diet, on risk and
    prognosis of rheumatoid arthritis.

Research

    I am involved in several national and international collaborations with the
    aim of investigate different aspect of rheumatic disease and its treatment:
    * ARTIS (Anti-Rheumatic Treatment in Sweden): a national surveillance
    program for investigation of safety and effectiveness of new
    anti-rheumatic drugs
    * Nordforsk collaboration: using data from the 5 Nordic rheumatology
    quality register linked to the national register on health, we can analyze
    safety and effectiveness of treatments in RA, PsA and SpA
    * EuroSpA collaboration: data from 17 national rheumatogy register are
    collected to analyze several aspect of treatment for PsA and SpA. I am
    part of the EuroSpA scientific committee
    * EIRA: using data from the largest case-control study on RA, I have
    analyzed the effect of diet on risk and prognosis of RA
