About me

I'm an epidemiologist with interests in health outcomes after the loss of a close family member, risk and prognostic factors of neurodegenerative diseases, cardio-oncology, and gut microbiome in common psychiatric disorders. My PhD project was to investigate whether bereavement was associated with the risk and prognosis of cardiovascular diseases by using the Danish and Swedish register data. Currently, I'm working on my postdoc project regarding the role of gut microbiome on psychiatric disorders in middle and old age using data from Sweden and the US. In the meantime, I also study longitudinal changes in blood biomarkers after a cancer diagnosis and the associations with subsequent health outcomes.
