Douglas Sjöwall's clinical affiliation is at Habilitation & Health, Stockholm, where he has a position as coordinator at the Unit for Research, Development and Education. His research affiliation is at Center for Neurodevelopmental Disorders at Karolinska Institutet, KIND.

Research description

Dr Sjöwalls publications are well cited and cover both theoretical and intervention studies. His current research involves development and scientific evaluations of intervention programs (psychoeducational, cognitive, and behavioral) for individuals with psychological or physiological disabilities. A major goal is to improve future health through proactive healthcare.  

Teaching portfolio

Douglas has developed and manages a 7,5 hp course, “Disability Psychology” at KI. He lectures at the psychology program at KI, Specialist training program for psychologist, Habilitation & Health, and KTH.
