About me

I am a medical doctor working in reconstructive plastic surgery, with a PhD in cancer epidemiology from Karolinska Institutet. My research on a postdoc level is focused on clinical outcomes after surgery for cutaneous melanoma, lower limb trauma, sarcoma, and pressure ulcers. I supervise several medical students and junior researchers.

Research description

2017 - Research on a postdoc level at the Department of Molecular Medicine and Surgery. Clinical research within the field of reconstructive plastic surgery, focused on clinical outcomes after surgery for cutaneous melanoma, lower limb trauma, sarcoma, and pressure ulcers.

2013 - 2017 PhD in Epidemiology at the Department of Medicine, Solna. Epidemiological research focusing on myeloma and precursor state monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS). For my PhD studies I received the MD/PhD scholarship (CSTP) at Karolinska Institutet.

Teaching portfolio

I have several years of experience in teaching anatomy and neuroscience to medical students, as well as acting as a lecturer and as a clinical supervisor in surgery for medical students and younger colleagues. I supervise several medical students and junior researchers.
