About me
I am Affiliated Researcher at KI working with aetiology, occurrence and prevention of upper gastrointestinal diseases and cancers, using Norwegian and Swedish population-based studies and national registries.
I am also Consultant in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Internal Medicine at Levanger Hospital, Nord-Trøndelag Hospital Trust, in Levanger, Norway, and Associate Professor in Medicine at NTNU, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Levanger/Trondheim, Norway.
I have done my Ph.D. at NTNU on the epidemiology of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD) using a large prospective cohort study from Norway, the HUNT study, and my Postdoc was done at KI on the epidemiology of Barrett's oesophagus and oesophageal adenocarcinoma.
