About me

  • I am *Affiliated Researcher* at KI working with *aetiology, occurrence and
    prevention of upper gastrointestinal diseases and cancers*, using Norwegian
    and Swedish population-based studies and national registries.
    I am also *Consultant* in *Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Internal
    Medicine *at Levanger Hospital, Nord-Trøndelag Hospital Trust, in Levanger,
    Norway, and *Associate Professor* in *Medicine* at *NTNU*, the Norwegian
    University of Science and Technology in Levanger/Trondheim, Norway.
    I have done my *Ph.D.* at NTNU on the *epidemiology of gastro-oesophageal
    reflux disease (GERD)* using a large prospective cohort study from Norway,
    the HUNT study, and my *Postdoc* was done at KI on the *epidemiology of
    Barrett's oesophagus and oesophageal adenocarcinoma*.
