About me
Emily graduated from the University of York in 2015, having completed a degree in Psychology BSc (Hons). In 2017, Emily completed an MSc in Molecular Neuroscience at the University of Bristol. Emily continued to pursue her interest in stroke and dementia and began her PhD in Precision Medicine in 2018 at the University of Edinburgh.
Research description
Her PhD research focuses on identifying clinically relevant biomarkers that are associated with the development of post-stroke dementia. To address her research questions, Emily undertakes Cochrane and systematic reviews, a survey of healthcare professionals, and data linkage studies in Scotland and Sweden. She is supervised by Dr Susan Shenkin and Professor Gillian Mead (University of Edinburgh), Dr Terry Quinn (University of Glasgow) and Professor Dorota Religa (Karolinska Institutet).
