About me

I have PhD in theoretical medical sciences from the University of Szeged where I graduated in 2007.

Research description

My research interest can be broadly described as dementia research focusing on understanding the mechanism and consequences of the main neuropathological hallmarks of dementia: amyloid plaques, tau hyper-phosphorylation and neuronal loss. The current research interest is focused on improving differential diagnosis and predicting cognitive decline in Alzheimer's disease and Lewy body dementias. Lately I have developed a particular interest in synaptic proteins and their role in dementia progression.
