Research description
Thesis title: Postmenopausal Hormone Therapy and Cardiovascular Risk.
The project was designed with the aim to increase the knowledge about postmenopausal hormone therapy and its possible influence on risk of developing cardiovascular disease in menopausal women. The project was based on observational data from a case-control study and from a pooling of individual participant raw data from five cohort studies.
I worked in connection with researchers at Karolinska Institutet to establish the COMPREHEND project database (http://ki.se/en/imm/comprehend). This project involved collaboration across different regions from Sweden where individual participant data was collected for over 80,000 postmenopausal women.
