About me

I am an enthusiastic psychiatrist, eager to contribute to team success through hard work, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. I would like to discover the neurobiological background of autism, as well as improve life quality for people with autism in daily clinical work.

Research description

I am studying behavioral phenotypes and neurotransmitter markers for autism, as measured with positron emission tomography (PET). We are investigating three hypotheses: changes in the serotonin and glutamate system, and synapse density. Of which two in a twin design. The studies are part of AIMS-2-TRIALS, the world’s largest autism research fund.
