TB Clinical Specialist, Friends for International TB Relief

About me

I work as the TB Clinical Specialist of Friends for International TB Relief (FIT), an international NGO based in Ha Noi, Vietnam. I'm also a Ph.D. student in the Department of Medicine, Solna, where I have been registered since July 2023. My main research interest is tuberculosis (TB), especially multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) and Latent TB infection (LTBI).

I started my scientific research career and worked as a main sub-investigator and a trial coordinator for a TB clinical trial named ROSETTA sponsored by the National University of Singapore from the 3rd year of my residency program. From there, I began to discover that I am really keen on the research and clinical trial environment. From a pulmonologist, I have gradually transitioned to the role of an investigator/researcher in various clinical trials/studies on TB and COVID-19.

Research description

My research focuses on the improvement of TB Infection diagnosis and treatment.  I am also interested in multidrug-resistant tuberculosis and other new testing for TB diagnosis.
