About me

  • I am a postdoctoral researcher in cancer proteomics, with a particular interest in glioblastoma and plasma proteomics. I defended my PhD thesis at
the Karolinska Institute, titled "Discovering circulating protein biomarkers through in-depth plasma proteomics".

Overall, I have a profound interest in learning and combining biomedical research skills on the molecular, clinical, and epidemiological level, aiming to improve diagnostics and therapeutics of cancer. Methodologically, I am interested in proteomics, proteogenomics, research design, medical statistics, and bioinformatics.

Research

  • My current primary research focus is glioblastoma proteomics. We aim to discover protein biomarkers circulating in blood plasma, which can stratify glioblastoma patients with regards to treatment and prognosis. Broadly, I have an interest in cancer proteomics and precision medicine.

Teaching

  • Responsible for the course Omics Data Analysis: From Quantitative Data to Biological Information [1].
Teaching experimental design and data analysis, course Mass spectrometry-based proteomics: When and How [2].
