About me
I am affiliated to research at the Department of Medicine, Solna, at KI. Additionally, I also have an assignment as expert coordinator in the field of outbreak preparedness and response at the Centre for Health Crises. Outside of KI, I work as a specialist in Infectious Diseases and head of the Department of Infectious Diseases, care patients, at the Karolinska University Hospital.
My previous roles include a position as medical expert in infectious diseases at the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare and as an infectious disease MD and analyst at the Swedish Public Health Agency.
Research description
My research interest lies in the field of infectious diseases, and the management and treatment of Highly Infectious Diseases and outbreaks. The parasitic disease leishmaniasis is a particular research interest of mine. Cutaneous leishmaniasis was the topic of my doctoral thesis.
