About me

I am a specialist nurse in oncology and palliative care. My current position is head of development and research, this involves leading strategic work in parallel with clinical research. In addition, I am working clinically as a contact nurse in an outpatient clinic with Head & neck, lung and skin cancer, as well as at the cancer emergency department and the inpatient ward.

Research description

I finished my PhD in November 2021, and the thesis is about how patients with cancer and complex care trajectories are utilizing health care, especially those with both acute and palliative cancer care.  One way of measuring integration and quality of care at end-of-life is different aspects of health care utilization, especially visits at the emergency department, care at intensive care units and cancer treatments near end-of life. My research area is about quality of care, patient safety and after my PhD, I am involved in several projects regarding systematic symptom assessments and how to increase precision in the assessment of symptoms, patients’ needs and prognosis.

Teaching portfolio

I teach at the specialist education, contact nurse program, as well as clinical, bed-side teaching.
