About me
I hold a Master of Pharmacy degree and a PhD degree in molecular microbiology from the University of Oslo, Norway. During my PhD and my first period as a postdoctoral research fellow, I studied regulation of DNA replication and genome instability in the model organism Escherichia coli at the Norwegian Institute for Cancer Research. I then changed my research field to pharmacoepidemiology working as a senior advisor at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health. As a senior advisor I was responsible for the daily operations at the Norwegian Prescription Database and I also worked in pharmacoepidemiological research projects. In 2015, I joined Department of Public Health Sciences, Karolinska Institutet as a postdoctoral research fellow in antibiotic stewardship where I focused my research on rational use of antibiotics and trends in antibiotic resistance in a global context. Since 2017, I have been working as a research coordinator at Centre for Pharmacoepidemiology. My main research focus is reproductive pharmacoepidemiology with a special focus on consequences for both mother and offspring in connection with drug treatment during pregnancy. I am also studying safety of various drugs in commissioned projects (Post-authorisation safety studies, PASS) utilizing the Swedish population-based registers.
