About me

  • I am a senior lecturer and docent at Institute of Environmental Medicine. I am Departmental Director of Education at Institute of Environmental Medicine, KI and Faculty representative in the Committee of Higher Education, KI. My current research involves development of methodology for health risk assessment of chemicals.

Research

  • I have performed research within molecular endocrinology and currently on development of methodology for health risk assessment of chemicals, including endocrine disruptors and mixtures of chemicals.

Teaching

  • I have 30 years of experience of teaching university students at bachelor, master and doctoral level. I have been course director and examiner for more than 30 different courses and been involved in pedagogical development work and projects at course and programme level at KI and internationally. I have been appointed member of the Pedagogic Academy at Karolinska Institutet, 2013. I have developed international training courses and coordinated training projects in health risk assessment. I am a member of EUROTOX educational subcommittee and co-chair of WHO steering group for capacity building for chemical risk assessment network.
