About me

  • I am a research coordinator and Ph.D. student within the cancer epidemiology group at the Division of Clinical Epidemiology, Department of Medicine Solna. Together with my supervisor Sandra Eloranta and my co-supervisors Caroline Dietrich, Karin Ekström Smedby, and Tarec El-Galaly, I study childbearing patterns in lymphoma survivors after modern-day chemotherapy. I have a master's degree in Public-Health Epidemiology from Karolinska Institutet and gained knowledge in applied statistics throughout my graduate and undergraduate studies. I am an enthusiastic R-user and post from time to time blog posts on R programming on my personal webpage.

Research

  • My doctoral research project aims at using large population-based register data to study post-treatment childbearing in lymphoma survivors and excess health care utilisation of children born to lymphoma survivors. Emphasis will be on investigating patterns by lymphoma subtypes, treatments and sex. The project is conducted in collaboration with the Epidemiology working group of the Nordic Lymphoma Group as well as the Swedish lymphoma and Hodgkin groups. All my studies require complex survival models to acknowledge the multi-state setting of my research questions. We also aim to explore cluster-type analysis and data mining approaches to learn more about the pattern of health care utilisation in families affected by lymphoma. My projects are kindly supported by the Swedish Cancer Society, Åke Wibergs stiftelse, and the Robert Lundberg Memorial Foundation.
