About me
My name is Julia and I have a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Uppsala University and a Master’s degree in Public Health Epidemiology from Karolinska Institutet. During the final semester of my Master’s program, I collaborated with the Division of Insurance Medicine within the multidisciplinary research consortium REMAIN, whose aim is to gain knowledge of how to enhance the social integration of refugee minors with poor mental health. More specifically, my thesis was about antipsychotic treatment patterns in young refugees and their Swedish-born peers with non-affective psychosis. After graduation, I eventually joined Ellenor Mittendorfer-Rutz’s research group “Mental Health and Social Integration" (MENTE) as a research assistant. Currently, my main work concerns differences in the association between common mental disorders and labour market marginalization among refugees, non-refugee migrants and Swedish-born individuals in various time periods.
