About me

  • I am an associate professor in epidemiology and the deputy head of the
    research group Epidemiology and Public Health Intervention Research
    Epidemiology (EPHIR). I am also resonsible, at the department of Pubic Health
    Sciences, for the undergraduate and advances studies.
    I have my background in sociology and my main area of research is within
    the social epidemiological field. My general research interest is social
    determinants of health and how they contribute to social inequalities in
    health, with special attention to: childhood social factors in relation to
    mental ill-health in adolescence and consequences in young adulthood

    differences in injury risk among children and adolescents
  • and the effect of
    social capital and social integration on migrants' health. I collaborate with
    a number of researchers in different fields, both within and outside KI.
