I am a PhD student at the Clinical Epidemiology Unit since February 2020. I am originally from Gothenburg but I attended Medical school at Lund University.
In 2019, I was a visiting research student at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver where I studied risk factors for Caesarean section in low risk nulliparous women.
My PhD project is focused on novel approaches for prediction of postpartum hemorrhage, the number one cause of maternal mortality and morbidity world-wide. For the project I will be using large databases from the Pregnancy Register and the Medical Birth Register to analyze temporal trends and risk factors with the overall aim of improved prediction of postpartum hemorrhage.
