Affiliated to research
I am an associate professor in epidemiology at Karolinska Institutet and a Rheumatology Fellow at Karolinska University Hospital.
Together with my team, I am researching comorbidities and prognosis of patients with rheumatic diseases, with a particular focus on systemic inflammatory diseases such as idiopathic inflammatory myopathies, and systemic sclerosis. Our aim is to decrease our patients burden of disease and identify strategies that will prolong their lives.
My projects are supported by Reumatikerfonden, Stiftelsen Professor Nanna Svartz, Gustaf V:s 80 year Fund, and by Region Stockholm (ALF project). I currently hold a clinical research appointment funded by Region Stockholm.
In addition to my clinical work and research, I also teach at the Karolinska Medical School. Since 2017 I am the study director of a fourth semester course given by the Department of Medicine Solna.
