About me

  • I have a PhD in mathematical statistics from Stockholm University (SU). My academic training began with the mathematics programme at SU. In May 1992 I presented my master thesis (in Swedish) " Några statistiska metoder för analys av tidsberoende bakgrundsdata, tillstånd efter viss tid och viss tid till förändring, tillämpade på data från nedläggningen av skolöverstyrelsen". After my master's degree I continued my academic education with postgraduate studies. In autumn 1997, I presented my licentiate thesis "Estimation of Bilinear Regression Models for Data Matrix Type: Bilinear Least Squares and a Simple Alternative". My doctoral thesis was completed in 1998 and I defended it in January 1999. The title of my thesis is "Bilinear Regression and Second Order Calibration". Besides my PhD position at SU, I also worked as a lecturer and demonstrator. In autumn 1998 I started working at Astra as a biostatistician. The first few years I worked with clinical trials and then gradually more and more with animal studies. At Astra I applied my theoretical skills on data from clinical trials and animal experiments. In the spring of 1999, Astra merged with Zeneca and I continued to work at AstraZeneca. In autumn 2007, I changed work and began working as a statistician at the National Board of Health and Welfare, where I worked with the social service registers. After 4 years, in the fall of 2011, I started my job as a statistician here at the Centre for Pharmacoepidemiology (CPE) at Karolinska Institutet.
