I am a PhD student at the University of Helsinki under the supervision of Dr. Hanna Sinkko, and affiliated at the Institute for Environmental Medicine in the Karolinska Institute. My doctoral studies focus on the cross-talk between the skin microbiome, living environment and allergies.
I have studied biology at the University of Oulu in Finland, where I received B.Sc in 2017 with focus on animal physiology. I graduated with M.Sc in immunology and microbiology from Uppsala University in 2019. During my master thesis project I was optimizing methods for analyzing the skin microbiota under the supervision of Dr. Nanna Fyhrquist in the Unit of Systems Toxicology at the Institute for Environmental Medicine.
