I have been at KI since 2008 and defended my doctoral thesis "On learning in the clinical environment" in October 2016. I am now an affiliated researcher to LIME, Karolinska Institutet and will continue to research learning in the clinical setting. Currently, I am also holding a position as Forskar-AT-läkare (Researcher/Medical intern) at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg.
My thesis explored workplace learning among undergraduate medical and nursing students. It involved studies investigating students' experiences and also analysed their interactions with clinical learning environments. I had a qualitative research approach and mainly used interviews and observations as data collection tools. My halftime review was held in September 2014 and the defense took place in October 2016. My supervisors were Klara Bolander Laksov, Erik Björck and Sari Ponzer.
