I am an M.D., Ph.D. and Neurosurgeon. My research is focused on military medicine and questions related to traumatic injuries in the nervous system.
My research is focused on multiple aspects of the injured nervous system and its responses to trauma. The group has developed a broad array of methods to investigate responses to high energy traumatic injuries to the nervous system, from cell culture to animal models.
At Karolinska Institutet I teach anatomy for undergraduate and graduate students, specifically neuroanatomy. At Uppsala University I am a lecturer in neurosurgery for medical students.
