About me

I am a doctoral student with a background in cancer nursing. Prior to enrolling in doctoral studies I worked in a variety of rolls within cancer care, primarily within haematology, both internationally and in Sweden. Most recently I worked at the Comprehensive Cancer Centre at the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm as the Head of Nursing Development at the Haematology Unit (ME Hematologi).

As a doctoral student I belong to the Wengström research group.

Research description

My PhD project Ex-Med Cancer Sweden involves developing a sustainable model of care for people with cancer through the implementation of evidence-based exercise medicine within existing training organisations in the community. The Ex-Med Cancer exercise intervention will be tested in a two-armed RCT with the aim to evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention on health-related quality of life, physical function and physical activity whilst at the same time gaining a better understanding of the context for implementation of such a model (protocol registration).

In my research I use both quantitative and qualitative methods.
