About me

Michael Dismorr M.D., Ph.D. is a postdoctoral researcher at the Departement of Molecular Medicine and Surgery in the Thoracic Surgery research group. Before he also worked as a junior surgeon at the ME Cardio-thoracic Surgery, Karolinska University Hospital. He defended his thesis "Epidemiological Studies of Bioprosthetic Aortic Valves" in 2022 at Karolinska Institutet.

Research description

Epidemiological Studies of Bioprosthetic Aortic Valves

This project investigates long-term outcomes in patients receiving bioprosthetic aortic valves. Data is acquired from nationwide population-based registers. The R programming language and Stata software is used for data handling and modern statistical methods. 

The purpose of the project is to improve clinical outcomes in patients who undergo aortic valve surgery.
