About me

I am a PhD candidate at the University of Bergen in Norway, where I am currently conducting research in the field of Age Related Medicine. Prior to this, I completed my MD degree at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia. During my studies, I had the opportunity to work as a Research Fellow at both the Ageing Institute of Universidad Javeriana, the Centre for Age Related Medicine (SESAM) at Stavanger University Hospital in Norway and Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden. These experiences have allowed me to delve into various aspects of aging research and gain valuable insights into the field. I am also a student member of the European Academy of Neurology, actively engaging with experts in the field. Moreover, I have been appointed as a member of the National Research School in Nutrition (NutriNOR) since August 2022. In addition to my academic pursuits, I have acquired certifications, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

Research description

My research work has resulted in several publications, including articles on topics such as glaucoma, depression, sarcopenia, delirium, , and dementia. Through my academic journey and research contributions, I aim to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of Age Related Medicine and improve the well-being of older adults
