About me
I am a research assistant at the Unit of Systems Toxicology at the Institute for Environmental Medicine at the Karolinska Institute. I am focusing on the interplay between the environment we live in and the skin microbiome.
I have a degree in Biochemistry from the Palacký University in the Czech Republic. In my Master's Thesis, I was researching the therapeutic properties of phytocannabinoids in the human skin exposed to UV light. Afterwards, I completed a one-year internship at the University of Eastern Finland where my research interest lay in Alzheimer's disease concerning lifestyle and the environment.
