Research description
My research is focused on understanding where different genetic and non-genetic risk factors and drivers of the disease converge to trigger the formation of tau neurofibrillary tangles and early neuronal degeneration in Alzheimer's disease. To achieve this goal I apply a wide variety of cell-specific transcriptomics and proteomics approaches in human post-mortem brain samples and mouse models with relevance for Alzheimer's disease.
