About me

  • I am an assistant lecturer and researcher at the Division of Pathology, Department of Laboratory Medicine. In addition to my teaching and research responsibilities, since May 2023, I have taken on the role of Program Director for both the Biomedical Analyst program and the Master's program in Biomedical Laboratory Science.

  •

Research

  • My research conserns the multifaced protein tartrate resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP) and its function in different conditions such as immune regulation and cancer development.

Teaching

  • My teaching portfolio spans a diverse range of subjects, encompassing both theoretical and practical aspects of cell and molecular biology, alongside general pathology, scientific methodology, and biostatistics. Additionally, I cover essential topics in chemistry and biochemistry, as well as immunology.

  • Beyond the hard sciences, I am also committed to teaching project management, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Central to my teaching philosophy is the belief in active training over passive learning. My goal is to empower students to become independent thinkers and problem-solvers, equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in their future careers.
