I am a university lecturer in medical education and an educational scientist at the Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics (LIME). I have been working with medical education since 2008 and affiliated with the Karolinska Institutet since 2011. I defended my PhD in 2016 with the thesis titled “It takes two to tango – an inquiry into healthcare professional education environments“.
I am also registered chiropractor (Doctor of Chiropractic) and lecturer in manual medicine.
I belong to the research group called Lifelong Learning in Health Care Contexts (LLiHCC). My research is focusing on the environment in which students learn and teachers work, and how educational stakeholders in different health care professions perceive and experience their educational environment and how we can develop educational environments that are apt for different healthcare professional trainings. More specifically, regarding the meaning of educational environments at large – how can we understand the inner dynamic of educational environments and better understand the different facets of educational environment to be able to support the development of sustainable high quality learning environments. I have a mixed-method approach to my research, employing methods deriving from both the quantitative and qualitative research tradition.
I have also an interest in research regarding pain and altered proprioception and the effect on these with manual therapies.
