About me

As analyst I conduct bibliometric analyses of the publication output of Karolinska Institutet, for example by creating collaboration networks, calculating citation indicators or by subject mapping. I work with data extraction from the bibliometric system at KI, containing Web of Science raw data (about 40 million publications) and Pubmed data from 1995 onwards (at present about 19 million publications).

In my PhD project I contribute to the development of algorithmic publication-level classifications. The project focus on how to make such classifications interpretable and meaningful, e.g. by creating classifications with a theoretically grounded granularity and by developing methods for labeling of obtained classes. The ambition of the project is to improve methods for creation of multi-leveled classifications so that such classificaitons can be used for analysis of research activities and in search systems.
