About me

I  joined the group of Prof. Jesper Haeggström  as a post-doctoral researcher. I am originally from India and completed my PhD in the Membrane Enzymology Group of Prof. Dirk Slotboom, University of Groningen, Netherlands.

Research description

In  PhD, I worked on bacterial membrane transporters which are responsible for B-type vitamins transport (PhD thesis title: Biochemical and structural insights in bacterial B-type vitamin transporters of the Pnu family ).

In KI, I will work on biochemical and structural aspects of lipid mediators involved in various diseases. Before joining here in Karolinska, I was in Switzerland (EPFL, Lausanne) and Germany (RVZ, Wuerzburg) focusing on drug screening for TB (tuberculosis) and Cryo EM study of ribosomal complexes respectively. My hobbies includes hiking, playing squash, cricket and cooking.
