About me

  • I am a research coordinator at the Center for Cervical Cancer Elimination, who has pursued the same line of investigation within tumor virology since the beginning of my thesis in 2012. I have performed ground-breaking work on the application of high throughput sequencing for widespread detection of microorganisms in different diseases and cancers. I have worked not only identifying infectious agents, but also at looking and analyzing their transcription as well as polymorphisms in their sequences.

    As research coordinator, I have several roles including:
    - Coordinator for the metagenomics pipelines in HEAP, the human exposome assessment platform, a European project including 11 project partners from six European countries. (https://heap-exposome.eu/)
    - Scientific lead of the International HPV Reference Center (https://hpvcenter.se)
    - Coordinator of the Global HPV Reference Laboratory Network
