I am a doctoral student and research assistant, which means I am involved in several research-related activities at NASP. I analyze, review and disseminate suicide-related statistics and scientific literature to both experts and the public. I also organize journal clubs at NASP.
I have a master’s degree in psychology. My doctoral thesis in medical science pertains to mental health, suicidal thoughts and behaviors in adolescents, and particularly how this is related to the use of internet-based media. For example, I explore risk factors, protective factors, and psychological mechanisms that are important for mental health.
Amongst other things, I am involved in the following research projects: Youth Aware of Mental Health (YAM), Suicide Prevention in Sweden (SPIS), Elevhälsoportalen.se, Suicide Prevention through Internet and Media Based Mental Health Promotion (SUPREME), and the document ”Rekommendationer för suicidpreventiva insatser på befolkningsnivå”.
