Research description

Our research is focussed on investigating molecular chaperones as therapeutic candidates to treat Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Considering the strong need to develop effective treatment strategies for Alzheimer's disease and dementia, whether it is disease modifying agent or immunotherapy, to be able to mitigate or treat a specific subset of dementia, we are exploring the possibility to use molecular chaperones as therapeutic candidates using relevant animal models with the goal to understand the underlying mechanism of potential treatment effect.
