About me

I am an epidemiologist with a doctoral degree from the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands and postdoctoral training at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. I recently started a new research topic on the risk of adverse outcomes in pregnant women with systematic lupus erythematosus. So far, my research focused on the risk of cardiovascular disease in breast cancer patients and sickness absence after breast cancer diagnosis. My work aims to improve understanding about risks on adverse outcomes associated with these diseases, by using large high qualitative Swedish cohorts and epidemiological methods.

Research description

I am working on the risk of adverse outcomes in pregnant women with systematic lupus erythematosus including gestational diabetes mellitus. For more information, please visit our website: Lupus Epidemiology Research Team

I am also involved in research on the risk of breast cancer and (cardio)toxicity and sickness absence after a breast cancer diagnosis.
