About me

Dr. Sylvain Peuget is Assistant Professor at the Department of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology (MTC). His research is focused on the molecular function of the tumor suppressor p53, its role during inflammation and its regulation by the human microbiota. He defended his PhD in 2012 at the Cancer Research Center of Marseille (INSERM/CNRS/Aix-Marseille University, France) on the role of the p53 co-factor TP53INP1 during the pancreatic carcinogenesis, and performed his postodoctoral research in Galina Selivanova’s group at the Karolinska Institute on the molecular mechanism of action of p53-reactivating compounds.
