About me
Dr Condello received his PhD in Clinical Physiopathology at the University of Pisa, Italy, under the supervision of Professor Fulvio Basolo, where he was trained in the fields of molecular pathology of endocrine tumors.
In 2018 he relocated to Pittsburgh, USA, to begin his postdoctoral work in the laboratories of Professor Yuri E. Nikiforov, at the Department of Pathology, University of Pittsburgh. There, he spent 4 years, investigating the mechanisms behind human thyroid cancer, developing a remarkable focus on identifying novel molecular markers in thyroid cancer, and applying the current knowledge in molecular genetics of thyroid cancer to the clinical management of patients with thyroid nodules.
In 2022, he moved to Stockholm, where he continued his postdoctoral work at the Department of Oncology-Pathology, KI, under the supervision of Professor C. Christofer Juhlin.
Dr Condello became an Assistant Professor at Karolinska Institutet in May 2023.
