Ying's current research interest is in risk factors/prognosis associated with chronic liver disease, and she works as part of the Hagström group at the Departement of Medicine, Huddinge (https://ki.se/en/medh/hagstrom-group)
Her previous research focused on the impact of prediabetes and diabetes on health and survival in older age, addressing a chain of events that commonly occur in older adults, including stroke, post-stroke dementia, physical function decline, disability, and premature death. She also investigates modifiable factors that could potentially prolong disability-free survival among older adults with diabetes.
