My current scientific interests lie in the fields of health inequalities, life course epidemiology, and social gerontology. My PhD project aims to examine the mechanisms through which the social and biological conditions in early life evolve along life course and across generations to produce and reproduce the patterns of health inequalities. The project utilizes two Swedish longitudinal datasets: the Uppsala Birth Cohort Multi-generational Study and the Stockholm Public Health Cohort.
I completed my Bachelor and Master degrees in Sociology at the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh. I had a Master degree in Public Health from the then Centre for Health Equity Studies (now Dept of Public Health Sciences) at Stockholm University.
