What is your mission at NVS?/What will you be working with?
I will be working at the Aging Research Centre (ARC) as a research assistant. My work will focus on supporting the Health Assessment Tool (HAT) implementation intervention in several healthcare centers while studying the barriers and facilitators of implementation.
Which division will you be working at?
The Aging Research Centre (ARC).

The data collection and analysis parts. The project will collect both quantitative and qualitative data, and it will be interesting to study and interpret the qualitative data embedded in the quant.
Where have you been active before and what have you done earlier?
I am a medical doctor, and following completion of my internship, I worked at World Health Organization – Jordan Country Office for a year as a tobacco control consultant on an SDGs 2030 subproject, the FCTC 2030. Afterwards, I came to KI to do my master’s in public health epidemiology, and during the master's I worked as a research assistant in Global Public Health (GPH) department. In addition to the topic of my work, I am interested in urological epidemiology, decolonizing global health, and learning about advanced statistical models.
When you are not working, what do you do for recreation?
I enjoy cooking a lot. I enjoy learning and trying different and new recipes. Otherwise, you will see me reading or watching something on my laptop, talking to my friends, and planning a gathering (indoor or outdoor) somehow.
Are you reading a book at the moment? Which one?
Yes! The Populist’s Guide to 2020, A New Right and New Left are Rising.
Tell us about the most beautiful place you have visited?
Globally, as a city, Vienna. In Sweden, there are two things that bring me so much joy to see, one is the view while taking the ferry from djurgården to kungsträdgården. Another sighting I enjoy is the skating place in Odenplan, with all the families enjoying the snow and the lights.
What makes you happy?
Lots of good food will certainly make me very happy! Otherwise, spending quality time with my friends, being close to my cat (Pico), knowing my family is doing well are things that make me happy. Also getting a new episode or chapter of something I am following will make me happy.
